Child of Wonder
A Celebration of the Sacred Gift of Children
Ever since I wrote "Child of Wonder" in 1984 I have wanted to have a book with visual images that could express the words and the vision of the music.
A year and a half ago I approached an extraordinary artist and friend, Stephen Nesser, who agreed to create such a book for children, parents and grandparents.
As you can see from these images, he has made a beautiful "frame" for the words of the song, celebrating the joy and gift of children through a number of religious traditions and cultures.
The book makes a perfect gift for the baptism of a child or any celebration of a child or grandchild. It includes both the written music of the song, "Child of Wonder" and a free download recording of the song, with only guitar and voice (as I sang it at Joshua's baptism 34 years ago).
